The last day before arriving at Penny's.

  

We ate breakfast at a great, art-covered place named Grumpy's Cafe.  

Then, we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Penny fitted from exhibition to exhibit like a kid in a candy shop.  We also stopped in a grave yard to take photos.   It was a Polish Cemetary in Cleveland.   We liked Cleveland.   We photographed a steel mill and ate Paprikash at a Hungarian "social club."  




































Penny made a delicious dinner of buttered shrimp with smoked paprika, and I slept in the super comfortable guest bed at her house, then set off to my house to see Toni ( the lady watching my pets and house) at 5:30 the next morning.  When I got home, I found that Tony had filled the entire refrigerator with food, made a cake, and bought all kinds of little foods for around the kitchen.  





     I slept another 24 hours at home.  It's raining.  I need to take Reese to RUN in the park.  It's so good to be home.  😊

    You've captured our trip so well, Jacki, the highs and the lows of an amazing adventure. Thank you for helping me relive it. And yes it's good to be home. There's no place like home. Journey well, my friend. May your next trip be even more fantastic!

Arrived in our first destination- Hamilton, Canade (Onterio)

Okay kids, we traveled through Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan for 8 hours to get to Canada.   We are in our first AirBnb. It's nice.  Lots of African decor.  I'm exhausted; we traveled 9 hours.  Good night.  8:12 pm. Zzzzzzz ---------------- In the morning: Ecuadorian coffee Juli bought me a while ago, Nice and strong!  The border crossing was simple. First a bridge leaving the US with a giant American flag, after crossing the beautiful, expansive bridge, a vibrant, red maple 🍁 flag for Canada.   Viola!   This was an arcade back in Anarbor, Michigan, where we stopped on the way to Canada.  It was designed to look like in France.   This is Penny, my travel mate.  All Victorian to art deco jewelry.   Headed to Niagra Falls, then on to Hastings, Ontario, to a little house on the side of a river that has cats,  dogs and horses! They also have hiking trails and who knows what else?

The day before

 Holy multitasking, has my day been busy.   It all started when I scratched my eye while I was washing my face, so my vision has been blurred in my left eye for part of the day and it's secreting junk.   I had to do some more laundry, wipe down the kitchen, lessen the amount of  pet hair left behind,  and sent out a reminder letter to parents that I'll not be tutoring for the better part of October.  I took Reese to the park at 6:30, and shortly after I got home, the car detailrt team came out to get my car spick and span-ready for the trip.   He pulled 4 bags of "stuff" out of my car, plus a 60 lb bag of little league balls that Reese pilfered from the park over the last months. Then , as I set out to put everything that was in the car away in it's proper place.  (Garage, house, or somewhere else in the car), the tutoring mom's started bombard me with texts and emails and QUESTIONS!
