Today we drive 5 hrs to Connecticut.
Along the way we have purchased so many snacks that we both have an overflowing big grocery bag full of crackers, cheese, chocolate bread, chocolate, I bought a whole bag of apples and Penny bought a whole bag of Clementine oranges but the Border guards confiscated hers because no fruit was allowed in the US. I got away with mine though!
We've got about three more days on this crazy Trip. Penny brought a shoe box full of CDs and I have Pandora so there was music 24/7.
It's 5:00 a.m. and I've been up for about a half hour. Penny should wake up soon. I think we'll leave early for Connecticut because it's a 5 1/2 hour drive. We're staying at the home of an artist, with zen gardens, so we're both looking forward to that.
The back of my Subaru Outback is a sea of bags, snacks, souvenirs, home good items, bottles and bottles of water. Even a bag of apples, and several of my coats flung over the top...
This was the place we stayed last night. This is our house in Connecticut. It's the mermaid house. We drove through Massachusetts to get here.
We went out for a $30 lobster stuffed sole dinner, came homevand watched one episode of Lupin and crashed, after the long 6- hour ride.
Penny was feeling discombobulated because of all of our bags in the back of the 🚗, so we went to a Marshall's store so we could get 2 of their bags to sort our junk/purchases/treasures.
On the way home from the restaurant, our GPS s were taking us in circles in the dark again, so it took 45 min to drive 2 miles home.
Penny liked the wall paper because she likes all things Paris.
The biggest treat we saw today was two baby bear cubs crossing the highway. They were just playing and like dance -walking. No mom in sight.
